How to receive God's free gift of eternal life. If you would like to receive God's free gift of eternal life by having personal relationship with Jesus Christ, it is as easy as A,B,C. A - Admit to God that you are a sinner, and turn away from your sin. Sin is disobedience to God. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 states: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." B- Believe by faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and accept Jesus' free gift of forgiveness from sin. Jesus said in John 3:16 that "For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." C - Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins (to Jesus), he (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and purify us form all unrighteousness." If you choose right now to believe Jesus died for your sins and to receive new life through Him, pray a prayer similar to the one that follows, as you call on Him, and Him alone, to be your Savior and Lord: "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and hove rebelled against you in many ways. I believe Jesus died for my sin and that only through faith in His death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I now turn from my sin and ask Jesus to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day forward, I will choose to follow Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving me and for forgiving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."
